I am presently in the midst of a job change, potential relocation, and a lot of other related issues. So "free time" is always questionable, but I'm trying to squeeze in some writing as I can. Keeps me sane. :)


Status of Works in Progress:

Bittersweet Sixteen - On to new chapter, "Turnabout," which will take some time to write and will likely be split into multiple parts when I finally start posting it. It has a lot of angst, so that always takes a lot out of me.

The Scent of Grass and Flowers - New installment, "Dash," in progress. I see from my notes that I've had this idea for over a year.

Unparalleled Teamwork - Rewrite of chapter one, "Asuma's New Team," in progress.

Morning Sickness - At work on second half of "Imagining Things" chapter.

Ginny Weasley and the Red Shoes - another dead stop in favor of other things.

Status of Works in Progress:

All works are currently "on hold" until some significant free time opens up in my personal life. Hopefully, that will be much sooner than later.

Bittersweet Sixteen: Since July (I think that was the last update), I've been bogged down in rewriting one particular scene. After the third rewrite I gave up in frustration for awhile. I finally seem to be getting it down (fourth time's the charm?) So progress finally resumes after a long break.

An Excessive Chain of Hugs: as stated before, it was a writing exercise to help me past the writer's fury with above. It is largely finished with only a few missing drabbles to wrap up. No biggie.

Scent of Grass and Flowers: a one shot idea for the theme "Dash" in progress, but it's trying to become too long a story and this won't do.

"Kissing Jutsu" (draft title): half written one shot that I'm not sure will ever see the light of day, but sometimes I poke at it.

Yep, it took awhile, but I finally got back to more regular writing at the end of September (family wedding took place). Managed to update Bittersweet Sixteen for the first time in months, and I'm very keen on finishing it by the end of the year. But I must be realistic - these last few chapters are very, very long ones, given how much pyschological stuff I have to wade through. I even feel like I've bitten off more than I can chew, but... it's too late to back out now.

Whoa, summer is half over! Still in the middle of my 'slow' writing period. Have been stealing what time I can to update my TS2 blog - it sure takes longer than I expected.

On personal note, had a lot of fun reading the last installment of Harry Potter. Overall, I was pleased with the way it ended. A lot of sad things happened, true, but I really like how things ended up. Now it will be very interesting to see where the fandom heads with all this. I'm actually looking forward to the fanfiction that will come out... I haven't indulged myself in awhile.

In short, an awful lot of general rewriting, but nothing that can be published yet. Work, work, work! :)

Hmm... the good news is that I've been writing again. The bad news is that there's been a lot less time for it than I'd like. Well, winter is over after all - can't be inside all the time!

(Naruto) Bittersweet Sixteen. Yep, still going, though finally drawing closer to the end!

Probably I shouldn't call this a 'writing update' since there's nothing new to report on the writing front. I have been having major family events in the past month and now April as well. I hope to return to writing by the end of the month but make no promises at this point.

Well, I am very very VERY happy! All the worry of the past weeks is now resolved - hooray! To be a little more specific, one hasty wedding and a major surgery (neither of them mine) are both memories in the making. I'm still doing some more caretaking but I really hope to be resuming work on Bittersweet Sixteen soon.

Oooo... so tired. Had a bit of a slow down at the end of last month due to burn out and some personal issues. Well, considering how much I've been writing for the past six+ months, it's hardly a surprise. Getting back to work now...

On Writing Docket

(Naruto) Bittersweet Sixteen - still going strong. Turned out to be longer than anticipated (I really thought I'd be practically finished by now), but hey, it's going to be as long as it needs to be to get the story done right. Hopefully I'll get it done by the end of the month.

All is well and relatively normal on the personal front. As for writing, I had a bit of a slow down mid-month, due to personal angst. I seem to be getting over it now.


On Writing Docket:

(Naruto) Bittersweet Sixteen - had to pause and retighten the plot. Back on track again. My goal is to finish it this month, or at least come very close to the end.
(Naruto) unnamed vignette - giving me headaches, but it's a personal mission now.

Just got back from my lengthy Christmas vacation, and am still trying to recover! Really wish I lived closer to home and could spare myself the road trip. Among other things.

(Naruto) Bittersweet Sixteen - didn't bin it after all. Started posting old chapters to ff.net during December; will continue writing and finishing it up this month.

I am off on vacation through pretty much all of December. So I'll be on writing hiatus until January, most likely. Because I am cleaning out my computer, I may be making some random updates or tearing down old things; it just depends.
